Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides housing, meals, and support to families with seriously ill children receiving medical treatment far from home. Through Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms, and mobile health services, RMHC helps keep families close to the care and comfort they need during difficult times.
General Information
High schoolers can get involved in their local community by volunteering at one of these foundations. You can join a group to cook for families staying at the House. You can be a House helper by doing various activities like greeting people. You can support and lead fundraisers for this cause.
Eligibility
Participants must be 14+ years old to individually participate. Younger students may need adult supervision or can join through their school or community. Some roles require to participate a number of hours. Most sites require an orientation to start. 18+ may need a background check.
