Meals on Wheels is a volunteer organization that allows participants to contribute to serving their local community. This program is easily accessible to students in many different locations and the hours that participants work are flexible. Applying to the program is simple allowing for more people to help elderly people in their community.
General Information
Apply online to help local elderly people in your community with day-to-day activities such as delivering prepared meals to people that are homebound or have limited mobility. These program are targeted to elderly that lack caregiver services.
Eligibility
All participants must be 14+, with participants under 18 needing parental supervision, especially for meal deliveries. Most sites ask for minors to attend a short orientation or training. If you are delivering meals, you must have a valid drivers license.

Find your local chapter on this link using your zip code. Then contact the program directly since each location is independently operated, so roles and scheduling varies. Then submit a volunteer form with some of your information as an orientation process.
