Global Leadership Adventures
Global Leadership Adventures offers short-term, structured travel experiences for teens, combining community service, leadership development, and adventure education. The program emphasizes intentional leadership development and real-world problem-solving. The programs span from Central & South America to Africa to Asia & Pacific to Europe to the Caribbean and even some domestic programs in the United States. Various different countries within each continent to choose from, and various states in the U.S. to choose from.
General Information
Apply and travel to other countries for a few weeks to serve the community. Work on various activities to build leadership skills, serve the community, and cultural immersion. Groups are typically 10-30 students that are broken into smaller groups. The trips are anywhere from 10-21 days. Costs range from $2,099-$6,599, depending on the location and length of the trip. Scholarships and payment plans are offered for these trips.
Eligibility
Most programs require the students to be in high school or within 14-18, and some offer middle school options for people that are 13. Join with a friend or as an individual. No other language knowledge is required to take the program. In international programs, GLA provides language lessons.
Application Process
Go to this link to apply. Search depending on the location and length of the trip. Rolling admissions for the programs so apply as early as possible. Applications close on May 1. Save $100 by submitting before February 28.
